I can't believe at 42k density and after 33 hours of rendering there are still grainy parts here. :( ~zemimsky was incredibly awesome to have re-rendered it for me, but nothing changed.
I suppose I'll have to reverse my steps of its creation and see what I did wrong ...

If you wish to better enjoy this piece, listen to this short but hypnotizing track by Brian Eno: [link] :)
It would help if the fractal was moving for sure ... wait, I might end up animating this! :la: Use your imagination until then!

Clicketh twiceth onceth for a close-up! :B

Really? Grain? I don't think I see any....what I find is that some fractals (depending on the variations used) can be more grain prone than others.... Not sure why.

But I love this so much :D All those green together and such interesting shapes!

Down there ... bottom right corner - eeevil graaain! :la:

You know, I've been trying to figure out what the hell caused it even after the intense rendering process ... turns out it's all due to the final transform ... :paranoid:

No matter, thank you JP! :D

Oh and ... :whisper: I'm thinking of uploading a fractal flame pack for our fellow fractalists here on dA to explore. In your experience, do you think it's worth a try or is it totally pointless? I admit I've never been too fond of sharing parameters ... but I'm probably setting a bad example so I'm thinking if I should be a bit more generous ... :slow:

Pointless? Nothing is pointless on DA!

I was initially very nervous about flamepacks and tutorial...not because I was afraid of losing my "secrets techniques" but because I though it would be "pointless". But they get fairly good attention and at the end of the day it makes me feel fairly good to share stuff about my "style" or experience.

But likewise, don't let the community pressure you into the mentality of "everyone should share everything". When you share, there is a risk of people ripping it off and not giving credit, if you think you've found a little special secret I don't think there is much shame in keeping it to yourself.

I'd say give it a go if you want to (not if you are doing it because you feel you should).
